The 397-page work is published in a luxury edition, and its cover is illustrated with the President of the Republic’s portrait. The book is dedicated in first place to the President of the Republic, the Craftsman of the Change, President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, as well as to the last-born of democracy, viz. the Green Party for Progress, in memory of all Tunisian martyrs, and to all sons of Tunisia so that they learn to take up the torch. The work highlights the different advances Tunisia recorded, as testified to it by the country’s honourable rankings according the specialised international authorities regarding Tunisia’s adherence to the new information technologies as well as the performances achieved in the field of political stability, the clearsighted policies, economic growth, business climate, the educational system and the promotion of quality of living. The book comprises seven chapters in which the author highlights the prospective, humanistic and modernist dimensions and the reforms contained in President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali’s policy since the Change. These chapters are: -The modernist, modest and moderate man. -Following the steps of activism, the steps of the great men. -Tunisia, pioneering land of constitutions. -Openness and consensus. -Reform process. -Tunisia, authentic beacon of civilisations. -Defense of environment, defense of human rights. Some chapters of the work were enriched by appendices. The annex of the first chapter highlights testimonies of world figures and political leaders on Tunisia and its clearsighted leadership. Chapter Two suggest a bibliography and a list of national, regional or international publications on the Head of State and on Tunisia. Appendix of Chapter Three is a reference to important historical documents, such as the decision of Ahmed Bey to abolish slavery in Tunisia in 1846 and the fundamental pact of September 9, 1857. Chapter Seven sheds light on the different international conventions and protocols ratified by Tunisia since the Change in the field of environment. |
